Janus Henderson Launches Nasdaq-100 Fund on Stellar
Janus Henderson and Centrifuge launched JQQQ, a tokenized fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 on Stellar for eligible professional investors outside the United States.
Janus Henderson and tokenization platform Centrifuge launched JQQQ, a blockchain-based fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 Index on the Stellar network. The fund is available to eligible professional investors outside the United States.
JQQQ uses Centrifuge’s tokenization infrastructure and tracks the index under a licensing agreement with Nasdaq, according to a Tuesday announcement. It provides indirect exposure to the Nasdaq-100 rather than ownership of its underlying stocks.
The fund is structured as a segregated portfolio of a British Virgin Islands investment company. It has a reported minimum investment of $100,000 and targets professional investors outside the US.
The launch expands Janus Henderson’s onchain offerings beyond US Treasurys and structured credit to include equity-index exposure. The asset manager reports that its institutional onchain strategies exceed $1 billion.
Stellar ranks fourth among blockchains by distributed real-world asset value, with about $3.8 billion in tokenized assets, according to RWA.xyz. Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana rank ahead of it.
The network hosts tokenized products from issuers including Spiko, Franklin Templeton and Ondo. In July, tokenization platform Tradable announced plans to bring up to $1 billion in private credit assets to Stellar, with $500 million expected at launch.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation plans to connect its tokenization service to Stellar. The service is expected to become available on the network in the first half of 2027 and could include tokenized US Treasurys, major index exchange-traded funds and Russell 1000 stocks.
The launch follows Nasdaq’s expansion of licensing for the Nasdaq-100 Index to additional asset managers in April, including BlackRock and State Street. Invesco continues to operate the Invesco QQQ Trust, which has a market capitalization of about $499 billion.
Stellar’s native token, XLM, traded near $0.17 on Tuesday and was down about 16% since the start of 2026, according to CoinGecko data.
