Futures liquidity clusters shape Bitcoin’s near-term moves
Futures activity is directing Bitcoin’s short-term price: short liquidity sits at $65,500–$66,000, long liquidity at $63,000–$63,750, long-side pools nearly twice shorts and a wide liquidation band is near $55,000.
Heatmap data from Hyblock shows increased activity in Bitcoin futures markets and maps where leveraged positions are concentrated over a one-month lookback.
The heatmap shows short liquidity concentrated at $65,500–$66,000, roughly 3% above current market levels. The closest long liquidity sits at $63,500–$63,750, about 1% below the market.
Larger long pools appear at $63,000–$63,250 (about 1.5% down) and $62,500–$62,750 (about 2.3% down). Across the tracked window, long-side liquidity outweighs short-side liquidity by nearly two to one.
According to the heatmap layout, a breach above roughly $65,600 would bring the short cluster into play and could push price toward $67,000. If support in the $62,500–$63,750 band fails, a broad liquidation band centered near $55,000-visible on the one-month lookback-appears as a possible lower level.
Market-wide metrics show aggregate open interest fell more than 3% from Tuesday’s peak without large price moves. Futures funding rates have cooled toward neutral.
Net flow data for the past week indicates spot and futures volumes generally favored the buy side. Over the last few weeks, Bitcoin has largely traded between about $60,000 and $67,000.
The heatmap identifies where leveraged positions are stacked: around $65,500–$66,000 on the upside and layered long pools near $63,000 on the downside. Market participants are monitoring activity at those levels for indications of larger directional moves.
