Euronext suspends CoinShares Zcash ETP before Paris debut
Euronext suspended CoinShares’ Zcash exchange-traded product on Wednesday before its scheduled Paris debut, citing settlement operations that the CSD cannot yet support.
Euronext suspended CoinShares’ Zcash exchange-traded product, or ETP, on Wednesday, the day it was scheduled to begin trading on Euronext Paris. The product will remain suspended until the central securities depository, or CSD, can support standard settlement operations.
The exchange identified the product as the CoinShares Zcash ETP, which trades under the ticker ZCSH. Its notice placed the product under suspension until further notice and did not initially give a reason.
Euronext spokesperson Flavio Bornancin-Tomasella later explained that the suspension resulted from “operational settlement requirements.” The suspension will remain in place until the CSD supports settlement operations for the product.
CoinShares announced the planned launch earlier on Wednesday. The suspension delays what would have been the fourth Zcash-based ETP listed in Europe.
21Shares, Virtune and Valor launched Zcash ETPs earlier this year. CoinShares did not respond to a request for comment by publication.
