Circle and Tazapay $400M deal targets $25B USDC flows

Circle and Tazapay agreed a $400 million commercial allocation to integrate USDC into Tazapay’s cross-border payments rails, targeting $25 billion in USDC payment flow.

Circle and payments firm Tazapay announced a $400 million commercial allocation to expand use of the USDC stablecoin in cross-border merchant and marketplace payments. According to the companies, the partnership aims to enable $25 billion in USDC-denominated payment flow through Tazapay’s payout and escrow network.

Under the agreement, Tazapay will integrate Circle’s USDC settlement capabilities into its payments rails so merchants and platforms can transact and settle in the stablecoin. Circle provides tokenized dollar liquidity and on-chain settlement while Tazapay offers a compliance-backed payout network for cross-border collections and disbursements.

Tazapay will be able to route eligible cross-border receipts into USDC for on-chain settlement and then convert funds into local currency where required, or hold USDC for onward transfers between counterparties. The companies expect the arrangement to reduce friction and speed final settlement compared with traditional correspondent banking corridors.

Circle described the $400 million as a commercial allocation to support liquidity and settlement capacity tied to Tazapay’s payment flows. The integration is aimed at merchant services, marketplaces and platforms that manage high volumes of cross-border payouts and escrow transactions.

Company executives framed the $25 billion figure as the volume of USDC payments they expect to enable through the combined infrastructure. The firms did not publish a timeline or a geographic or sectoral breakdown for reaching that total.

Stablecoins such as USDC are increasingly used for business-to-business transfers, treasury management and instant settlement in global commerce. Circle issues USDC, a dollar-backed stablecoin that circulates on multiple blockchains and is used by exchanges, fintechs and corporate treasury teams. Tazapay operates a cross-border payments platform that offers collections, escrow and marketplace payout services across multiple international markets.

Circle was founded to develop programmable dollar services and has positioned USDC as a link between traditional finance and blockchain rails. Tazapay was founded to simplify international e-commerce and marketplace payments with compliance and conversion features for merchants.
