Vlad.fun launchpad halts over internal integrity issue
Vlad.fun, a Robinhood Chain memecoin launchpad, suspended services after discovering a ‘serious internal integrity issue’ and took the platform offline for investigation.
Vlad.fun, a memecoin launchpad operating on Robinhood Chain, suspended operations on Wednesday after finding what it described as a “serious internal integrity issue” involving members of its team. The project took its site and leaderboard offline while it investigates and consults legal counsel on potential action against those responsible.
Earlier the same day, Vlad.fun warned users that a token appearing on its leaderboard under the Vlad.fun name was “not official,” and reminded traders that anyone can create tokens on a permissionless launchpad. The project did not disclose whether the unauthorized token and the internal integrity issue are connected, and it did not identify the team members involved or describe the alleged misconduct.
Robinhood launched Robinhood Chain on July 1 as an Arbitrum-based layer-2 network designed for tokenized stocks, real-world assets and onchain financial services. In the network’s opening days, memecoins accounted for the majority of token activity, driven by rapid token creation and speculative trading on community launchpads, according to on-chain data.
The project removed the leaderboard and paused services to protect users during the internal inquiry. Vlad.fun said it is consulting lawyers to determine whether to pursue legal remedies. The announcement did not mention any arrests, fund recoveries or formal charges, and it did not provide a timeline for restoring services.
Permissionless launchpads allow token creation and listing without centralized approval; the platform’s warning noted that token listings are not vetted by a central authority. Traders and developers who recently used Vlad.fun were advised to verify token contracts independently and exercise caution.
Vlad.fun’s public messages used the phrases “serious internal integrity issue” and “not official” but offered no further details or additional quotes about the alleged misconduct.
