Trump team nets $3.39M from Solana TRUMP liquidity moves

Donald Trump’s team converted TRUMP positions into 3.39 million USDC over 10 hours by repeatedly adding and withdrawing liquidity on the Solana blockchain.

Donald Trump’s team collected 3.39 million USDC over a 10-hour period by adding and removing TRUMP liquidity on the Solana blockchain, triggering automated swaps into USDC rather than selling directly on an exchange order book.

Blockchain records show the wallets seeded Solana liquidity pools with TRUMP-only positions at specific price levels and then withdrew those positions as market buyers pushed the token through those levels. When liquidity was removed, the pool’s automated market maker executed swaps that converted TRUMP into USDC.

The technique was used previously in April, when roughly 4.6 million USDC was removed from a TRUMP liquidity pool ahead of a scheduled token unlock, according to on-chain records.

TRUMP launched on Solana on January 17, 2025, as the first memecoin linked to a sitting U.S. president. At the time of the recent transactions the token traded around $2.46, with a market capitalization near $629.5 million and about $864.3 million in 24-hour trading volume.

The past week included several large transfers tied to Trump-linked wallets. On August 23, wallets associated with the official Trump team moved roughly 646,000 TRUMP tokens to the OKX exchange in two transactions, valued at about $15.5 million, followed by a separate transfer of 2.62 million tokens valued at about $6.2 million. Earlier developer activity moved a cumulative 48.25 million TRUMP tokens, valued at about $172.4 million, across three batches over five months.

Other asset movements linked to Trump entities this year include a transfer of 2,650 bitcoin to a centralized exchange in May and a sale of 5.9 billion WLFI tokens by World Liberty Financial to private buyers, with the sellers retaining about 75% of the proceeds.

Promoter Bill Zanker’s Fight Fight Fight LLC has been pursuing a fundraising effort to create a digital-asset treasury that would buy TRUMP on the open market, targeting at least $200 million with plans that could scale to $1 billion. The fundraising has not closed.

The liquidity withdrawals occurred while retail buyers pushed the token higher over the prior week. Similar patterns of adding liquidity at set levels and later withdrawing it for USDC have appeared repeatedly in TRUMP’s trading history.
