Trump Media Transfers 2,650 BTC to Crypto.com

A Trump Media-linked wallet moved 2,650 BTC (about $204.93M) to Crypto.com on May 22, leaving roughly 6,889 BTC and raising questions about its bitcoin holdings.

On May 22, a wallet linked to Trump Media & Technology Group transferred 2,650 bitcoin, valued at about $204.93 million, to the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, according to on-chain data reviewed by blockchain analytics firm Arkham. After the transfer the address retained an estimated 6,889 BTC, worth roughly $532.78 million at current prices.

Trump Media has not issued a statement or scheduled a call to explain the purpose of the transfer. The company did not disclose whether the movement represented a sale, a custody change or a liquidity arrangement. DJT shares traded lower in early market sessions after the transfer was reported.

Trump Media purchased about 11,542 bitcoin in 2025 at an average cost near $118,522 per coin, spending roughly $1.37 billion in total. In December 2025 the company moved 2,000 BTC when bitcoin traded near $87,378; analysts at the time widely described that transfer as an internal custody rearrangement.

In its first-quarter 2026 financial report, Trump Media recorded a $405.9 million net loss driven mainly by unrealized markdowns on its bitcoin and Cronos (CRO) holdings. The company reported positive operating cash flow of $17.9 million from Truth Social and affiliated media operations for the quarter. Trump Media financed its 2025 bitcoin purchases with about $2.4 billion raised through stock sales and convertible note placements.

CEO Devin Nunes has characterized the bitcoin position as a balance-sheet diversification strategy rather than an indefinite hold, and the company has not adopted a formal “never sell” policy. No confirmation has been provided about the destination or intent behind the May 22 transfer.
