TRON DAO at ETHConf; Hosts TRON Academy Events in New York

TRON DAO took part in ETHConf June 8–10 in New York and ran TRON Academy events during ETHGlobal New York, including a June 12–14 Happy Hour and a student panel.

TRON DAO attended ETHConf in New York from June 8–10, 2026, and continued its presence during ETHGlobal New York with TRON Academy programming tied to the hackathon from June 12–14. The Academy held a Happy Hour at Anytime Billiards NYC co-hosted with the Princeton Blockchain Club and supported by student groups including Blockchain Chicago, Blockchain at Columbia, Blockchain at Emory, Blockchain & Fintech at Fordham, NYU Blockchain Lab and Penn Blockchain. More than 70 students and developers attended the Happy Hour.

At ETHConf, TRON DAO team members met with builders, founders and technologists to discuss decentralized applications, policy developments and practical blockchain adoption. The events brought TRON representatives into conversations with attendees focused on development tools and integration opportunities.

The TRON Academy Happy Hour featured a panel titled “Campus to Mainnet: How Student Builders Will Shape the Future of Blockchain,” moderated by TRON DAO’s ecosystem development team. Student panelists from Blockchain Chicago, Blockchain & Fintech at Fordham, Penn Blockchain and NYU Blockchain Lab described how stablecoins and digital dollars are used for payments and cross-border settlement, how campus clubs are advancing from learning projects to deployed applications, and the technical and career skills they expect to use, including work on AI agents tied to on-chain payments.

TRON Academy described its aim as supporting developer education and student-led projects. Its university network includes Princeton University, Imperial College London, Yale University, Columbia University, Harvard University, MIT, Cornell University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and Dartmouth College. The program provides students with hands-on access to blockchain tools and developer resources.

TRON was founded in September 2017 and launched on MainNet in May 2018. Network statistics reported by TRONSCAN as of June 2026 show more than 387 million total user accounts, over 14 billion total transactions and over $25 billion in total value locked. Until recently, the TRON network hosted the largest circulating supply of USDT, which exceeded $89 billion.

TRON DAO’s activities at ETHConf and ETHGlobal New York included structured outreach to students and developers alongside broader networking with conference attendees.
