Trader Targets $5 for SUI as Analyst Flags Early Recovery
A trader set a $5 target for SUI; analyst Michael van de Poppe flagged the token as showing “early signs of recovery” as the altcoin index rose to 58.
A crypto trader set a $5 price target for SUI, while on-chain analysts identified $5, $8 and $13 as near-term levels to watch. Michael van de Poppe flagged SUI on July 13 among altcoins showing “early signs of recovery” as an altcoin season index reached 58.
On-chain analysts described SUI’s price chart as one of the “cleanest” in crypto and wrote that “the higher timeframe structure still looks incredibly bullish,” noting the $5, $8 and $13 marks “if the uptrend continues from here.” Those levels sit well above the token’s current market price.
SUI was trading near $0.78 on the latest market update, up about 1.6% over the past week. The token remains roughly 85.7% below its all-time high of $5.35, set in January 2025. Reaching $5 would require roughly a sixfold increase from current levels.
Van de Poppe included SUI among tokens he is “looking to accumulate” and mentioned other names such as ARB, UNI, AAVE, ETHFI, NEAR, ZEC and SOL. He did not attach a specific price target to SUI.
The technical calls come alongside recent network outages. The Sui Foundation confirmed three mainnet outages on May 28 and 29 that together produced more than 15 hours of downtime. The foundation attributed the disruptions to bugs introduced in a software upgrade-one affecting gas-fee logic and another causing the randomness protocol to fail to persist state during validator restarts.
The foundation reported that user funds were never at risk, no confirmed transactions were reversed, and fixes have been deployed. Analysts noted that the software fixes relate to the technical outlook because network stability affects sustained trading activity.
The on-chain target levels and van de Poppe’s commentary were presented as part of broader market observations rather than as firm predictions tied to the network’s operational history. Timing and likelihood of the quoted price levels remain subject to market moves and further technical validation.
