Tokenized stock transfers climb 105% in a month to $8.4 billion

Tokenized stock transfers rose 105% in the past month to $8.41 billion. Distributed value of tokenized equities climbed 43% to $2.16 billion and holders exceeded 409,000.

Tokenized stock transfers rose 105% over the past 30 days to $8.41 billion, according to onchain RWA data from RWA.xyz. The distributed value of tokenized equities increased 43% to $2.16 billion, and the number of holders grew 17% to more than 409,000.

Transfers of tokenized shares more than doubled during the period. Distributed value for tokenized U.S. Treasurys was essentially flat over the same month, while the broader tokenized real-world-asset market increased about 4% to roughly $33.5 billion.

Platform-level activity was concentrated among a few providers. Figure’s distributed value rose about 935% in 30 days, Securitize’s climbed roughly 332% and xStocks’ increased around 62%. By distributed value, Ondo remained the largest tokenized stock platform at about $846 million, followed by xStocks at $708 million, Securitize at $306 million and Figure at $239 million.

Over the past year the tokenized stock market expanded from roughly $378 million to $2.16 billion, a gain of about 471%, reflecting new issuance and increased secondary-market transfers.

Several market developments occurred during the period. Crypto exchanges and wallets used xStocks infrastructure to offer tokenized pre-IPO access for the SpaceX offering on platforms including Kraken, Bybit and Bitget Wallet, where demand exceeded available allocations. Securitize issued tokenized versions of its own shares on the Solana and Avalanche blockchains when it listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Traditional financial market infrastructure providers and exchanges have moved into tokenization. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation received regulatory approval to run a three-year pilot on pre-approved blockchains and plans to launch a tokenized securities service in October. The New York Stock Exchange and Intercontinental Exchange outlined plans for platforms to trade tokenized stocks and ETFs. Nasdaq is working with Kraken and infrastructure firm Backed to connect conventional equities to blockchain networks. Intercontinental Exchange chief executive Jeffrey Sprecher has urged regulators to allow regulated venues to offer 24/7 onchain perpetual futures.

Issuance and trading infrastructure for tokenized equities expanded over the past month, and tokenized stocks now represent a larger segment within the tokenized RWA market.
