Strategy to pay STRC dividends twice monthly; BTC at 845,256

Strategy Inc. won shareholder approval to change STRC dividends from monthly to semi-monthly; its bitcoin holdings reached 845,256 BTC after buying 1,550 BTC and selling 32 BTC.
Strategy Inc. secured shareholder approval during its virtual annual meeting on June 8, 2026, to amend terms of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC), moving dividend payments from monthly to semi-monthly.
Proposal 5 passed with votes from both common stockholders and STRC holders, giving the company authority to alter STRC’s payout schedule. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor wrote on X: “STRC and MSTR shareholders have approved the amendment to move STRC dividends from monthly to semi-monthly. Under the new cadence, the first record date is June 30 and the first payment date is July 15.” The change requires final declarations by the board before payments begin.
Strategy reported its bitcoin holdings reached 845,256 BTC after adding 1,550 BTC for roughly $101 million; the company had sold 32 BTC one week earlier.
Under the amended terms, record dates are expected to fall on the 15th and the final day of each month, with the first record date on June 30 and the first payment scheduled for July 15, subject to the board’s declaration.
The amendment applies only to STRC. Strategy also issues other preferred securities, including STRF, STRK and STRD.
CEO Phong Le described the revised schedule as reflecting the company’s “commitment to continuous innovation on behalf of our holders” and wrote that paying dividends twice a month is intended to “stabilize price, dampen cyclicality, drive liquidity, and grow demand for STRC, while giving STRC holders faster reinvestment opportunity.”
Strategy has presented STRC as part of its broader preferred-stock strategy tied to its bitcoin-backed capital model, citing preferred payouts, USD reserves and funding flexibility.
The approval follows continued attention to Strategy’s treasury activity and capital plan as the company continues to accumulate bitcoin and adjust the role of its preferred offerings within its funding framework.
