Space and Time launches Dreamspace AI builder on Base

Microsoft-backed Space and Time released Dreamspace, an AI app builder that generates, audits and deploys smart contracts and front ends to Base and other EVM chains without coding.

Space and Time launched Dreamspace on Thursday, an AI app builder that generates, audits and deploys smart contracts and the front-end interfaces that interact with them to Base and other Ethereum Virtual Machine–compatible blockchains. The tool requires no coding from users.

The platform was in beta beginning August 2025. Space and Time reported more than 34,000 apps created during testing and roughly 140,000 students who used the platform as part of courses or labs. Several schools in Indonesia built curriculum and AI labs around Dreamspace during the beta period.

Dreamspace was developed using Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI. Front ends are hosted on Azure, and smart contracts produced by the tool can be deployed to any EVM-compatible network. The builder defaults to Base, Coinbase’s layer-2 network, because Base supported the product during beta and offers low fees and fast transaction times; Space and Time cited transactions costing less than one cent and confirmations in under a second on Base.

Space and Time said Dreamspace combines automated contract generation, automated auditing and front-end creation in a single interface so creators can sign, own and deploy on-chain applications. Scott Dykstra, co-founder of Space and Time, described the goal as: “making it really easy to deploy an app that has a smart contract, where that smart contract is audited and you, as the creator, actually own it, sign it, and deploy it to an [Ethereum-based] chain.” He contrasted Dreamspace with general-purpose AI app builders by noting Dreamspace links contract logic directly to the front end.

The company, founded in 2022, has expanded from blockchain data infrastructure into AI projects and partnerships, including a collaboration last year with Bless Network to support AI agents. Space and Time positioned Dreamspace for educators, hobbyists and early-stage builders who do not have traditional smart contract development skills.

Eric Brown, head of AI developer relations at Base, said the network’s low-cost, fast transactions and tooling support made Base a natural choice during testing. He added that the project lowers the barrier for people to start on-chain businesses using AI tools.

During beta, Space and Time iterated on contract generation and automated auditing routines before the public release. The company emphasized that creators retain ownership of the contracts they sign and deploy and that contracts can be launched to a developer’s preferred EVM chain while front ends remain hosted on Azure.

Dreamspace will be available to the public following the beta release metrics the company cited. Space and Time provided technical details on the platform’s architecture, the default network choice and adoption figures as part of the launch announcement.
