Smaller Bitcoin Treasury Firms Add 603 BTC as Strategy Pauses

Smaller public Bitcoin treasury firms bought 602.6 BTC (about $46M) last week, led by Strive’s 381.6 BTC and DDC’s 200 BTC, while Strategy paused its weekly purchases.

Smaller public Bitcoin treasury firms added 602.6 BTC, roughly $46 million, during the week ending last Friday. Strive acquired 381.6 BTC and DDC Enterprise Limited bought 200 BTC. The Smarter Web Company purchased 19 BTC and Hyperscale Data bought 2 BTC.

Strive filed a Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission disclosing an average purchase price of $79,348 per BTC. DDC’s 200 BTC came at an average price of $79,496 per coin. The Smarter Web Company paid an average of $77,687 per BTC. Hyperscale Data executed a market purchase on Sunday when Bitcoin closed at $76,981 and did not disclose an average price.

The purchases occurred after Bitcoin dipped below $80,000. Strategy, the largest public holder, did not make its usual weekly buy during the same period. The prior week Strategy reported acquiring 24,869 BTC between May 11 and 17 for $2.01 billion at an average price of $80,985 per BTC.

Data from Farside Investors show combined net outflows of $1.54 billion from spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds over the six trading days through Friday. Crypto analytics firm Santiment described the ETF outflows as a ‘counter-indicator’, noting ETFs reflect retail investor sentiment more than institutional positioning.

Bitcointreasuries lists about 198 public companies holding roughly 1.24 million BTC, representing about 5.9% of total supply. Aside from Strive’s SEC filing, no additional corporate statements about the recent purchases were filed.

The transactions record purchases by smaller treasury holders during a short price pullback and show differing approaches among public holders in recent trading days.
