Securitize Tops Tokenized Stocks With $270.6M Onchain
Securitize leads tokenized stocks with $270.6 million onchain; sector monthly transfer volume reached $8.47 billion and distributed value hit $1.96 billion.
Securitize Corp. holds the largest onchain position among tokenized stocks with $270.6 million in tokenized shares, data compiled by rwa.xyz shows. The company listed its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ and tokenized the same share class on public blockchains the same day. The tokenized stock sector posted $8.47 billion in monthly transfer volume and $1.96 billion in distributed value.
Securitize completed a business combination with Cantor Equity Partners II on July 1 and began NYSE trading on July 2. SECZ opened at $12.45, reached an intraday high of $13.70 and closed at $12.30, a 4.41% increase from the prior close of $11.78. After-hours trading reached $12.60. Volume for the listing day was 839,134 shares versus a 30-day average near 853,500. The company’s market capitalization was reported at $1.821 billion. At launch the firm put roughly $295 million to $300 million of tokenized shares into circulation; the current onchain tally stands at $270.6 million.
Securitize’s token represents the same legal common-stock class that trades on the NYSE. Token holders have legal ownership recorded on the issuer’s capitalization table and retain shareholder rights, including dividends, proxy voting and participation in corporate actions. The company issued tokens on the Solana and Avalanche blockchains through its regulated platform. Holders can keep tokens in personal wallets rather than holding positions through a traditional broker.
Purchases of Securitize tokenized shares require completion of know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering checks, confirmation of U.S. eligibility, connection of a compatible wallet and swapping stablecoins for shares on Securitize’s platform. Existing SECZ shareholders may convert paper holdings into tokenized form using the Direct Registration System. Market makers, including trading firms such as Jump, provided initial liquidity for onchain trading.
Tokenized shares trade around the clock. SECZ tokens recorded transfers on Solana and Avalanche through the July 4 holiday while U.S. stock markets were closed. During U.S. market hours, pricing for tokenized shares tracks the National Best Bid and Offer under Regulation NMS. Outside those hours, prices reflect onchain supply and demand.
Rwa.xyz data shows the tokenized stock sector held $1.96 billion in distributed value, a 31.84% increase over the prior 30 days. Monthly transfer volume rose 92.77% to $8.47 billion. Total holders across tokenized stocks reached 403,650, up 17.18% from a month earlier, while monthly active addresses declined 84.37% in the same period.
Securitize’s $270.6 million onchain position leads other tokenized equities tracked by rwa.xyz. The next largest positions are Strategy PP Variable xStock (STRCx) at $126.07 million and Circle Internet Group’s Ondo-tokenized shares (CRCLon) at $97.64 million. Other notable tokenized assets include an iShares Core S&P 500 ETF tokenized by Ondo at $68.01 million, Micron Technology at $56.78 million and Exodus Movement on Algorand at $45.37 million.
Two platforms, Ondo and xStocks, account for a large share of existing tokenized wrappers of public stocks and ETFs. Securitize differs by directly tokenizing its newly public common stock rather than wrapping an externally issued security. The company operates through SEC-registered entities, including a broker-dealer, an alternative trading system and a transfer agent, which link the blockchain record to traditional regulatory and compliance infrastructure.
U.S. markets reopened on July 6 while tokenized shares continued to trade on public blockchains through the intervening holiday, providing continuous onchain trading and transfer data.
