Samsung Wallet Adds Native Stablecoin Support, Debuts Galaxy Card

Samsung added native stablecoin support to Samsung Wallet and introduced the Galaxy Card at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, expanding payments, rewards and digital-asset features on Galaxy devices.

At the 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced that Samsung Wallet will support native stablecoins and introduced its first credit card, the Galaxy Card. The company said these features will bring payments, rewards and digital assets into a single experience on Galaxy phones and tablets.

Samsung displayed a mockup of the Wallet showing Circle’s USDC inside the app, but it did not name USDC or other stablecoins as formal partners for the launch. The company did not provide a consumer rollout date or list the stablecoin issuers that will be supported at launch.

Lee Dinham, product manager at Samsung, described the Wallet as “bringing everything you need to carry together, making your Galaxy your everyday wallet,” and said the app will “embrace new forms of digital value, including stablecoins.” He also called Samsung “one of the first major mobile brands to bring native stablecoins to a smartphone, enabling fast and trusted digital value transfers.”

The Galaxy Card is Samsung’s first credit card. Samsung said the card will combine conventional payments, cash rewards and digital-asset features. The company highlighted a 5% cash rewards rate on eligible purchases at Samsung brand stores and said additional benefits were shown during the presentation.

Samsung first included an embedded cryptocurrency wallet in the Galaxy S10 series in 2019, using hardware-backed security to protect private keys and transactions. In October, Samsung announced integration of Coinbase One with Samsung Wallet in the U.S., providing Wallet users with easier access to a cryptocurrency subscription service.

Samsung’s presentation left several technical and regulatory details unspecified. The company did not explain custody arrangements for stablecoins, how users will convert between stablecoins and fiat currency, or how the Wallet will comply with local payment and digital-asset regulations. The company also did not provide timing for partner integrations or regional rollouts.

Representatives on stage framed the Wallet and Galaxy Card as parts of a unified financial experience across Samsung devices and services, with payments, rewards and digital assets accessible from a single app. The announcement does not include a target release date for the stablecoin functionality or a final list of supported issuers.
