Ripple combines Swell and XRPL Apex for 10th anniversary

Ripple will host a combined Swell and XRPL Apex conference in New York Oct. 27-29 with more than 1,500 attendees and 75 speakers focused on institutional adoption and the XRP Ledger.

Ripple will bring Swell and XRPL Apex together in New York from Oct. 27-29. The company expects more than 1,500 attendees and over 75 speakers at the three-day event, which is organized around institutional crypto adoption and growth of the XRP Ledger.

Organizers plan programming across three stages and more than 50 sessions, with tracks labeled Institutional, Ecosystem and Innovation. The agenda is aimed at financial institutions, fintech firms, blockchain developers, investors and members of the XRP community.

Brad Garlinghouse wrote on X, “I’ve been in crypto long enough to know when a moment is real. This is one of them.” Monica Long, Ripple’s president, wrote that “Ripple Swell 2026 will be our biggest event ever, with main stage keynotes, multiple tracks (Institutional, Ecosystem, and Innovation), and much more.”

Ripple has highlighted enterprise use cases including payments, tokenization and liquidity. The company has promoted XRP and its RLUSD stablecoin for corporate treasury management and points to XRP’s settlement speed, low transaction costs and more than four billion completed transactions on the XRP Ledger as indicators of network utility.

David Schwartz, Ripple’s chief technology officer emeritus, outlined ledger applications that include payments, tokenization, decentralized finance, artificial intelligence integration and interoperability work on the network.

Confirmed speakers include actor Matt Damon, Bullish CEO Tom Farley, Tradeweb CEO Billy Hult, and Ripple executives including Garlinghouse, Long and Schwartz. Sessions will cover technical and commercial paths for ledger adoption, regulatory engagement and how institutions can integrate tokenized assets and settlement rails into existing operations.

Swell started in 2016 and has been held annually to showcase use cases for Ripple’s technology and the XRP Ledger. The 2026 edition marks the conference’s tenth year and the first time Swell and XRPL Apex are presented as a single event.
