Orca, Streamex Launch Solana Marketplace for GLDY Trading
Orca and Streamex opened a Solana marketplace allowing verified accredited investors to trade Streamex’s gold-backed, yield-bearing GLDY token via permissioned Orca pools with on-chain KYC.
Orca and Streamex launched a Solana-based marketplace on Tuesday that lets verified accredited investors buy and sell Streamex’s GLDY token through permissioned Orca liquidity pools. Trading is available 24 hours a day and settles on-chain.
GLDY is a yield-bearing token backed by allocated physical gold. Orders route through Orca’s automated market maker pools while investor eligibility is controlled by Streamex’s identity verification and accreditation process.
Investor wallets remain frozen and cannot trade until identity and accreditation checks are complete. Eligibility status is linked to wallets and updated on-chain in real time to ensure only approved participants can access the pools.
Neither firm will act as brokers or intermediaries for secondary market transactions in GLDY. The announcement notes Orca’s AMM infrastructure has handled more than $500 billion in cumulative trading volume since the platform’s launch.
The permissioned pool can be replicated for other tokenized real-world assets, including stocks, bonds, real estate and commodities. The arrangement combines Orca’s on-chain market-making tools with Streamex’s compliance layer to enforce investor eligibility without centralized custody or brokerage services.
The launch comes amid industry efforts to create regulated trading rails for tokenized securities and other real-world assets. Earlier this month the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved a Nasdaq pilot to allow tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds to trade alongside their traditional counterparts on the same exchange, sharing order books, ticker symbols and shareholder rights for eligible securities. Separately, an agreement has been signed to develop tokenized trading infrastructure tied to an established exchange, and tokenization platforms have disclosed plans for Treasurys, private credit and collateralized loan products on blockchain markets.
Market data shows growth in the tokenized real-world asset sector. RWA.xyz reports the total market value at roughly $34 billion, with Treasury- and commodity-backed products among the larger segments.
