Nexo renews title sponsorship of $3M DP World Tour event
Nexo extended its title sponsorship of the Nexo Championship at Trump International Golf Links in Scotland, a DP World Tour event with a $3 million prize fund Aug. 20-23.
Crypto wealth platform Nexo renewed its title sponsorship of the Nexo Championship, a DP World Tour golf tournament set for Aug. 20-23 at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The event carries a $3 million prize fund and is the second consecutive year Nexo will be the title partner.
The renewal is part of a three-year agreement between Nexo and the DP World Tour. Nexo plans prominent on-course branding, including tee-box signage, leaderboards and broadcast-facing positions, and will operate a hospitality program during the four-day event.
Nexo intends to track the sponsorship’s impact using earned media, social impressions and broadcast exposure. Konstantin Rangelov, Nexo’s Brand Marketing and Global Sponsorships Manager, described the Nexo Championship as ‘our first ever title partnership’ and said the company aimed to expand its presence at the tournament.
The company maintains other sports partnerships, including roles with the Australian Open as an official crypto partner, Argentina’s national soccer team and the Audi Revolut Formula 1 team. Nexo’s marketing team has identified golf as a distinct element of its sponsorship portfolio.
In 2023 Nexo reached a $45 million settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission related to its lending product. The firm reduced U.S. offerings after regulatory actions in 2022 and announced earlier this year plans to relaunch flagship products in the United States — Yield, Exchange Loyalty and Credit Lines — using digital-asset trading infrastructure provided by Bakkt.
Organizers say Nexo branding and hospitality initiatives will be integrated across the tournament.
