Myriad taps Chainlink for near-instant World Cup payouts
Myriad will use Chainlink as its exclusive oracle to automate resolution, settlement and near-instant payouts for 2026 FIFA World Cup match prediction markets.
Myriad announced it will adopt Chainlink as the exclusive oracle infrastructure for its 2026 FIFA World Cup match prediction markets. The platform will use the Chainlink Runtime Environment to automate market creation, event resolution and near-real-time settlement.
The integration extends Myriad’s existing use of Chainlink for crypto price markets, including BTC, ETH, BNB and SOL, and is planned to run match-by-match markets across the 2026 tournament. Chainlink’s orchestration layer will replace manual settlement processes used by some prediction platforms, allowing trades to settle automatically as matches conclude. Myriad said the system is designed to scale to future real-world-asset markets.
Chainlink’s blockchain-based oracles will record event outcomes onchain, producing an auditable trail that the companies say should reduce disputes over market resolutions. William Reilly, Head of Strategic Initiatives at Chainlink Labs, called the integration capable of delivering accurate resolutions, fast settlement and instant payouts, and added that tamper-proof auditability should lower contested outcomes as the platform serves users worldwide.
Ilan Hazan, Myriad co-founder and COO, described the World Cup as the biggest stage in sport and noted traders expect reliable outcomes immediately after matches end. Farokh Sarmad, co-founder and president, announced a $100,000 trading competition in partnership with Layer-1 blockchain D.Energy during the tournament.
The contest will award $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 to the top three traders, with $10,000 allocated across other leaderboard participants. Makers will be eligible for a weekly $5,000 pool; the leaderboard will reset each week during the contest.
Myriad recently closed a seed funding round the company described as a milestone, with participation from MoonPay Ventures, Auros, EVG, Verda Ventures and Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee, alongside earlier investors including ConsenSys and HashKey Capital. The platform launched on BNB Chain and is developing automated short-timeframe markets and additional protocol features. Myriad is owned and operated by Dastan.
Prediction markets let users buy and sell shares tied to the outcome of future events, with prices that move to reflect implied odds and payouts determined after outcomes are verified. Myriad expects the Chainlink integration to be active throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup, providing automated settlement and an auditable record of market resolutions.
