MoonPay buys Glide to add unified crypto deposit tech
MoonPay has acquired Glide and will fold Glide’s deposit and routing tech into MoonPay Deposits to simplify crypto onramps for applications.
MoonPay announced on Thursday that it has acquired Glide and will integrate Glide’s deposit and routing technology into MoonPay Deposits. The companies said the acquisition will bring Glide’s unified deposit flow into MoonPay’s digital asset infrastructure.
Glide was founded in 2023 by Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong to help apps accept deposits from different tokens, chains, wallets, exchanges and payment methods without requiring manual bridges or token swaps. Glide’s documentation shows support for more than 100 tokens across roughly 30 blockchain networks.
“Funds sat on the wrong chain, in the wrong token, on an exchange, or on a card, and every deposit meant bridges, swaps, and drop-offs,” Soni recalled. Glide shifted from building wallet infrastructure to a unified deposit flow designed to reduce those manual steps and lower the risk of user error.
Glide’s deposit and routing stack will be added to MoonPay Deposits, a product already used by Wallet in Telegram, Moonshot and Paysafe. MoonPay did not disclose financial terms.
MoonPay chief executive Ivan Soto-Wright said the acquisition is part of a broader effort to expand beyond fiat-to-crypto payments and add infrastructure for moving, securing, trading and accounting for digital assets. He said Glide’s technology addresses the problem of users sending the wrong token on the wrong chain.
MoonPay announced several other acquisitions in 2026 to add security, trading and accounting features, including Sodot, Decent and DFlow, Entendre and Dawn Labs. Investors in MoonPay include Thrive Capital, Paradigm, Valhalla Ventures, Tiger Global Management and Coatue. Caroline Pham, former acting chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, joined MoonPay as chief legal officer and chief administrative officer late last year.
