Kiyosaki: Gold Could Begin $35K Bull Run After Purchase

Robert Kiyosaki wrote that gold rose $62 after his purchase and cited Jim Rickards’ $35,000 forecast, warning debt, inflation and a weak dollar may boost demand for gold.

Robert Kiyosaki told his followers on X on June 26 that gold rose $62 after he bought the metal the previous day and suggested the market may be at a turning point. He referenced a projection from Jim Rickards that places gold as high as $35,000 and pointed to rising debt, ongoing inflation and a weakening U.S. dollar as forces that could increase interest in hard assets.

Kiyosaki urged investors to study technical analysis and to watch price charts for signals of market reversals. He wrote that learning to read charts can take years and that he will monitor technical signals across gold, silver, bitcoin and ethereum before making further purchases.

Kiyosaki used a housing analogy to explain timing, noting a lower gold price is like a cheaper house but advising people to assess whether the broader economic “neighborhood” is improving or deteriorating before buying. He also repeated his view that cash savings face pressure from inflation and expanded money supply.

Rickards’ $35,000 estimate is based on a monetary-equilibrium framework that compares U.S. M1 money supply, U.S. Treasury gold reserves of roughly 8,100 metric tonnes, and historical assumptions about backing currency with gold. Rickards previously issued earlier projections, including figures around $15,000 and more than $27,000 before the $35,000 estimate.

Kiyosaki recalled that he bought gold near $300 at the start of the last major bull run in 2000 and described current financial conditions in 2026 as weaker by comparison. He said he will wait for sustained upward reversals on charts before adding to positions in gold and silver, and that he is watching bitcoin and ethereum for similar technical opportunities.

In his posts Kiyosaki wrote: “An important study for you to increase your financial education is Technical Analysis, how understand the up and down of financial markets.” He later posted: “Gold up $62 since I purchased yesterday. Possibly on a bull run to $35K if Jim Rickards is correct… and I think he is.”
