Gate Lists RLUSD Pairs With BTC, ETH, XRP and USDT

Gate added BTC/RLUSD, ETH/RLUSD, XRP/RLUSD and RLUSD/USDT spot markets and launched a 750,000 RLUSD incentive program with CandyDrop, VIP airdrops and staged fee cuts.

Gate opened BTC/RLUSD, ETH/RLUSD, XRP/RLUSD and RLUSD/USDT spot markets on June 15, giving users direct trading access to RLUSD against bitcoin, ether, XRP and tether. The exchange said RLUSD withdrawals were expected to open on June 16, 2026, and offered one zero-fee withdrawal of 20 RLUSD or more during the promotion period, subject to details on its asset page.

The platform announced a 750,000 RLUSD incentive program designed to support trading and liquidity. The campaign includes CandyDrop distributions, VIP airdrops, staged reductions in withdrawal fees and influencer promotion campaigns. Gate noted that stablecoin-to-stablecoin trades are excluded from the main rewards to reduce non-organic volume and that the incentives focus on RLUSD trading against major assets including BTC, ETH and XRP.

Ripple, the company behind RLUSD, described the new XRP/RLUSD pairing as a way to broaden stablecoin liquidity for trading and settlement. Ripple wrote, “XRP/RLUSD spot trading pairs are available today, unlocking real interoperability and capital efficiency for digital asset markets worldwide.” The asset is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ripple Labs.

RLUSD is backed 1:1 by U.S. dollar deposits, short-term U.S. Treasuries and other cash equivalents, with monthly attestations. Since its launch in December 2024, RLUSD’s market capitalization has exceeded $1.6 billion. The token launched natively on the XRP Ledger and on Ethereum, and later technical integrations, including Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers framework, extended its multichain access.

Gate’s listing is one of several recent steps to expand RLUSD access on trading and payments rails. Ripple has also cited integrations such as Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines initiative and a Treasury integration with GTreasury, and it filed formal comments with the Federal Reserve on payment account access for stablecoin issuers. Market activity showed XRP price gains after the new RLUSD pairs went live.

The exchange said the combination of direct trading pairs, incentives and planned withdrawals will shape early liquidity and user flows as traders test the new markets.
