Ether ETFs gain $26M as Bitcoin’s seven-day inflow streak ends

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs had $225.18 million in net outflows Thursday, led by a $202.48 million withdrawal from BlackRock’s IBIT. Ether ETFs added $26.32 million.

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $225.18 million in net outflows on Thursday, ending a seven-session inflow streak. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $202.48 million of the outflows, roughly 90% of the category’s net withdrawal. Ether ETFs added $26.32 million and extended their run of inflows to a fifth straight session.

Outflows from other bitcoin funds included Bitwise’s BITB at $7.03 million, Fidelity’s FBTC at $5.64 million, Franklin Templeton’s EZBC at $5.61 million and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB at $4.30 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was the only bitcoin fund to attract new capital, adding $5.01 million. Total trading value across bitcoin ETFs was $1.63 billion. Combined net assets for bitcoin ETFs fell to $78.82 billion from $80.36 billion a day earlier.

The seven-day inflow streak that ended Thursday had brought $999.38 million into bitcoin products before the reversal.

Ether ETF inflows were led by Fidelity’s FETH with $14.93 million, BlackRock’s ETHA with $8.49 million and ETHB with $2.90 million. No spot ether ETF reported a net outflow for the session. Trading value across the ether category was $564.90 million and total net assets stood at $10.32 billion. Ether funds have accumulated about $211 million in inflows over the past five trading days.

Thursday’s ether inflows coincided with the second anniversary of U.S. spot ether ETFs, which began trading on July 23, 2024, providing a regulated route for U.S. investors to hold spot ether.

Other altcoin ETF activity was limited. The HYPE category had a $1.02 million outflow, driven entirely by Grayscale’s HYPG, with trading value of $8.84 million and net assets of $294.15 million. HYPE funds have reported one inflow session in the past 11 trading days. XRP and Solana ETFs reported no net flows; XRP fund assets closed at $1.01 billion and Solana products at $885.84 million.

On Thursday, bitcoin ETFs moved from several days of net inflows to net outflows while ether ETFs continued to receive net capital additions.
