D’CENT adds in-wallet swaps via ChangeNOW

D’CENT integrated ChangeNOW’s swap layer into its hardware wallet and app; by 2025 the company reported more than 1 million registered wallets and $8.5 million in revenue.

D’CENT integrated ChangeNOW’s swap layer into its hardware wallet and companion app to add in‑wallet exchange functions. The company began in 2017 and released its first hardware wallet in 2018.

The device and software use Secure Element chips, a custom operating system, controlled firmware updates, multi‑chain support and stable signing processes. D’CENT focused on those security features during the market downturn after 2018.

Users and Web3 projects required ways to act after assets moved into self-custody. Building an in-house exchange would have required liquidity, routing, rate management, broader asset coverage, transaction handling, partner support and compliance. D’CENT opted to integrate an external swap layer instead of building exchange infrastructure.

ChangeNOW provided liquidity and routing outside D’CENT’s operations and enabled cross‑chain swaps within the wallet. The integration linked in‑wallet campaigns such as “Tap That Drop” with swap functionality so users could discover projects, earn tokens and convert them into stablecoins or core assets without leaving the wallet.

By 2025 D’CENT reported more than 1 million cumulative registered wallets, over 40,000 daily active users and annual revenue exceeding $8.5 million. The company reported hardware sales revenue nearly tripled in 2025 compared with 2024, that it ranked among the top five global hardware wallet brands, and that it saw notable adoption among XRP holders.

D’CENT reported that it would keep development focused on device security while using a partner for the transaction layer. The company described the integration as a way to add in‑wallet transaction options without building exchange infrastructure internally.
