Coinbase launches 21 products, from BTC mortgages to AI advisor

On June 16, 2026 Coinbase introduced 21 products spanning bitcoin-backed mortgages accepted by Fannie Mae and an SEC- and NFA-registered AI investment advisor for Coinbase One users.

Coinbase announced 21 new products and features on June 16, 2026, expanding its platform across trading, lending, payments and on-chain infrastructure. The company said the releases are intended to give customers access to stocks, mortgages, options, perpetual futures and AI-driven portfolio services alongside crypto trading. Most offerings are subject to eligibility, jurisdiction and regulatory disclosures.

One headline product is Coinbase Advisor, an in-app AI investment tool registered with the SEC as a Registered Investment Advisor and with the National Futures Association as a Commodity Trading Advisor. The tool will roll out first to Coinbase One members in the U.S. and will provide trade recommendations, tax-loss harvesting and multi-asset analysis.

Coinbase for Agents allows customers to deploy AI agents that run trading strategies continuously inside isolated sub-accounts with preset capital limits and asset permissions. Coinbase is partnering with Amazon Web Services to scale the x402 agentic payments standard, which the company reports has processed more than 100 million transactions.

On lending, Coinbase announced a partnership with Better to accept bitcoin as collateral for home mortgages under a structure accepted by Fannie Mae. Buyers can pledge BTC without selling their holdings to meet mortgage qualification requirements.

Consumer finance additions include a Coinbase One Card travel portal that offers 5% bitcoin back on bookings through Rocket Travel by Agoda with American Express protections. Coinbase also introduced a USDC-backed version of the card to provide similar rewards to users without traditional credit histories.

Trading expansions include tokenized U.S. stocks for non-U.S. customers, set to launch next month. Those tokenized shares will be backed 1:1 by the underlying assets, carry dividend rights, and may be lent or used as collateral. Coinbase noted tokenized stocks will not be available to U.S. persons. The exchange introduced Pre-IPO perpetual futures starting with SpaceX, with Anthropic and OpenAI planned for later listings, giving traders early price exposure to private companies. The company also listed equity index perpetual futures tied to thematic indices such as AI, China, Defense and a Tech 100, and said options trading for both crypto and stocks is scheduled in the coming months.

Coinbase is combining its U.S. spot exchange, international derivatives venues and the Deribit platform into a unified global liquidity pool. The firm said it is the first exchange approved by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to offer regulated global crypto derivatives, including options, to U.S. customers. Infrastructure updates include a Base Privacy Platform designed to support compliant privacy for enterprise on-chain transactions and a new B20 token standard in the Base Beryl chain upgrade that adds on-chain compliance policies and payment reconciliation features.

On staking-related lending, Coinbase extended support to allow borrowing against staked Solana via JitoSOL with a lending cap of $100,000 and maintained support for cbETH collateral up to $1 million. To enhance account security, the company introduced a Transfer Protection framework with time-delayed withdrawals, customizable daily limits and multi-party approval workflows for outbound funds.

Coinbase flagged regulatory conditions and risk disclosures across the package. Tokenized stocks are off limits to U.S. persons, and the company cautioned that options, futures and prediction markets involve substantial risk. The firm described the release as an effort to bring multiple financial activities into a single platform covering crypto, equities, derivatives, AI advisory and real-world asset lending.
