Changelly to Host Build It or Kill It: DeFi Edition

Changelly will host Build It or Kill It: DeFi Edition on July 2 at 5 PM CET, a live debate that will bring Web3 founders, builders and skeptics together to test which decentralized finance narratives should be pursued. The event will stream online and is free to attend.

The format pairs proponents and critics on the same stage. Each topic will be framed by a single question—”build it or kill it”—and speakers must defend or oppose the trend in real time. The session will include live audience questions.

Confirmed participants include John Adam Khandjian of Changelly and Web3 commentator Aram Mughalyan. Changelly plans to disclose a major self-custody wallet partner in the weeks before the event, and additional founders and industry figures are expected to appear.

Panelists will debate several specific narratives. One session will ask whether cross-chain bridges are unnecessary overhead or still serve a practical purpose, and whether chain abstraction can hide bridging from users. Another will examine AI agents in DeFi, including autonomous protocols and wallets that execute actions without direct user input, and whether current infrastructure can support those agents. Speakers will consider whether stablecoins on decentralized exchanges can replace liquidity typically found on centralized order books and whether wallets should expand into financial super-apps with native cross-chain swaps and other services.

The conference will also address self-custody as a default model versus a niche approach that struggles to reach mainstream users, and whether regulated DeFi or decentralized exchanges can enable wider adoption.
