Bitcoin Suisse wins ADGM licence to serve UAE institutions
BTCS (Middle East) Ltd. received Financial Services Permission from ADGM’s FSRA on July 7, 2026, allowing regulated digital-asset services for institutional and professional clients in the UAE.
BTCS (Middle East) Ltd. was granted Financial Services Permission (FSP) by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) on July 7, 2026. The permission allows the firm to provide regulated digital-asset financial services to institutional and professional clients from the ADGM platform across the United Arab Emirates.
Under the FSP, BTCS ME may offer institutional-grade custody, trading in approved virtual assets, staking, and other services including lending and tools for managing and hedging digital-asset exposure. The firm will assign a dedicated relationship manager to institutional and professional clients.
Bitcoin Suisse was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. The group safeguards approximately USD 3.7 billion in crypto assets and is among the largest global staking operators. The company employs more than 200 people across Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the UAE and Bermuda, and serves institutional clients, digital-asset foundations, family offices, asset managers and high-net-worth individuals.
Ceyda Majcen, chief executive officer and SEO of BTCS ME, described the FSP as ‘a major milestone in our international growth strategy’ and added that the authorization ‘reflects more than a decade of experience building resilient infrastructure, risk frameworks and trusted client relationships.’
Arvind Ramamurthy, ADGM’s chief market development officer, issued a statement congratulating Bitcoin Suisse and noting ADGM’s framework attracts institutions seeking regulatory clarity, market access and long-term growth opportunities. He added that the firm’s expansion into ADGM ‘reinforces the strength and maturity of our digital assets’ ecosystem.’
The FSP increases the number of regulated digital-asset firms in ADGM and aligns with Abu Dhabi’s effort to provide an internationally recognized legal and supervisory environment for crypto businesses. The authorization follows a trend of established European digital-asset firms obtaining regulated access to Gulf markets to serve institutional demand.
