Bitcoin hashprice jumps 20%, lifts miner revenue

Bitcoin hashprice rose 20.41% from Aug. 18–22 to $38.29 per PH/s, raising daily miner income. Miners have earned $682.69 million in August, still below July’s $875 million.

Over Aug. 18–22, 2026, Bitcoin hashprice climbed 20.41% to $38.29 per petahash per second (PH/s), increasing daily miner income. Miners have collected $682.69 million in August so far, including $5.14 million from transaction fees, compared with $875 million in July.

Hashprice estimates revenue per unit of hashing power. One petahash equals 1,000 terahashes. Using an electricity price of $0.10 per kilowatt-hour, a Bitmain Antminer S23 Hydro 3U (about 1.16 PH/s) would generate an estimated $17.86 in daily profit. A Bitdeer Sealminer A4 Ultra (886 TH/s) would yield about $13.75 per day under the same power cost. Profit estimates change with Bitcoin’s market price, mining difficulty and local power expenses.

Average block times on the network were around 10 minutes and 5 seconds. The difficulty adjustment projected for Aug. 22, 2026 is expected to reduce difficulty by about 1 percent, which would raise expected revenue per PH/s until the next adjustment.

Mining participation included 133 pools contributing hashrate. Foundry USA led with roughly 214.73 exahashes per second (EH/s), Antpool had about 156.17 EH/s and F2Pool about 110.62 EH/s. ViaBTC recorded near 91.02 EH/s, while Secpool and Spiderpool were each close to 65.07 EH/s. Total network power rose to approximately 922 EH/s, approaching 1 zettahash per second.

Bitcoin’s market price peaked just above $126,000 in October 2025. Miners’ margins tightened after that peak. The recent rise in hashprice and the projected small decline in difficulty coincided with higher daily revenue for operations running recent-generation ASIC hardware. With several days left in August, miners may add to monthly collections if current conditions continue.
