Bitcoin, Ether ETFs See Heavy Outflows; HYPE, XRP Draw Inflows

Bitcoin ETFs lost $333.71M and ether ETFs shed $35.04M on May 26; HYPE ETFs drew $20.45M and Grayscale’s XRP fund added $1.55M.

On May 26, investors withdrew a combined $368.75 million from bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds, with $333.71 million leaving bitcoin ETFs and $35.04 million exiting ether ETFs. HYPE products attracted $20.45 million and Grayscale’s XRP fund recorded $1.55 million in inflows.

Bitcoin ETFs posted a seventh consecutive day of net redemptions. BlackRock’s IBIT led outflows with $192.44 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $57.74 million, Grayscale’s GBTC at $41.29 million, Bitwise’s BITB at $28.81 million and the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust at $13.43 million. Trading volume for bitcoin ETFs was $4.40 billion, and total net assets across bitcoin ETFs fell to $98.40 billion.

Ether ETFs extended their losing streak to 11 sessions. Fidelity’s FETH had $17.01 million in outflows, Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust lost $8.26 million, ETHE saw $7.89 million leave and BlackRock’s ETHA recorded $1.87 million in outflows. Ether ETF trading volume was $614.24 million, and total net assets for the group closed at $11.79 billion.

HYPE ETFs posted inflows for the ninth straight day. Bitwise’s BHYP led the suite with $19.05 million, and 21Shares’ THYP added $1.41 million. HYPE funds traded $53.76 million and held $117.38 million in net assets at the end of the day.

Grayscale’s GXRP added $1.55 million, with $13.38 million in trading activity and $1.12 billion in net assets at the close.

Solana-linked ETFs recorded no trading activity on May 26.

Combined net outflows from the largest bitcoin and ether funds totaled $368.75 million for the day. HYPE and XRP inflows reduced the overall net withdrawal amount.

The session left bitcoin and ether ETFs with further net redemptions while certain altcoin-focused funds recorded net inflows.
