Binance: XRP withdrawals top 53% as leverage hits 2026 high
Binance saw XRP withdrawal dominance reach 53.2% on June 15 while deposits were 46.7%. The exchange’s estimated XRP leverage ratio rose to about 0.1899, a 2026 high.
On-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant reported that Binance recorded XRP withdrawals at 53.2% of exchange flows on June 15, while deposits accounted for 46.7%. The firm published the data on June 16.
CryptoQuant noted withdrawal dominance was the strongest since April 10, when the metric was 53.4%. Withdrawal dominance remained elevated at 53.1% on June 16 as XRP traded near $1.22. Deposits fell to 46.7% on June 15 and were about 46.8% on June 16, their lowest readings since April.
The same dataset showed Binance’s estimated XRP Estimated Leverage Ratio climbed to about 0.1899 when XRP traded near $1.24, the highest leverage reading of 2026. The ratio had spent recent months largely between 0.15 and 0.18 before rising above that range.
The firm wrote: “The signal does not necessarily mean immediate upside for XRP,” and added: “Developments in this indicator remain an important factor to monitor in the coming period to assess the inherent risk level in the XRP market.”
Exchange flows are tracked because tokens typically must be deposited to an exchange before they can be sold. Sustained withdrawal dominance means fewer tokens are moving onto exchanges.
The Estimated Leverage Ratio approximates the proportion of positions taken with borrowed capital in derivatives markets. Higher leverage increases the market’s sensitivity to sharp price moves and can magnify liquidation-driven swings.
CryptoQuant also noted a similar withdrawal zone occurred before a larger XRP price move in 2025, while adding that the historical comparison is not predictive. The firm reported stronger activity across both spot flows and derivatives exposure on Binance around the same price band during the period of elevated withdrawals and higher leverage.
