Binance Seeks Remote General Manager for West Africa

Binance posted a vacancy on X on July 6 for a full-time remote General Manager to oversee business development and operations across West African markets. The role sits in its Africa business development team.

The position combines market expansion, government and regulator coordination, public representation and day-to-day operational oversight. The hire will develop a growth strategy aligned with global objectives and local market conditions and lead market-entry plans.

Regulatory coordination is a core part of the job. The manager will work with Binance’s legal teams on local compliance, prepare documentation for regulators, manage approval processes with government agencies and engage with policymakers.

The role includes managing relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry groups and community stakeholders, overseeing profit and loss, managing budgets, monitoring performance and driving operational improvements. The post requires appearances at industry events and conferences.

Applicants must have more than 10 years of senior management experience, experience working with regulatory environments and government agencies, and a background in market expansion and business development. Binance seeks candidates with an interest in crypto and digital assets.

Binance operates in several West African countries and offers different services by jurisdiction. The exchange is available in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Togo and Benin. Some markets support localized payment options such as mobile money, and the platform facilitates peer-to-peer trading in the West African CFA franc and the Ghanaian cedi.

Nigeria remains more restricted after Binance discontinued services tied to the Nigerian naira following regulatory pressure. Across Africa, Binance provides access through local payment rails, educational programs, community events and trading initiatives that the West Africa manager will coordinate locally while aligning with company priorities.

Binance did not disclose a salary range, a preferred West African base, reporting lines beyond the Africa business development team or a hiring timeline.
