Binance France Sets Closure Date as OKX Lists EU Services
Binance France will close customer accounts on Dec. 31, 2026, with fees beginning Nov. 29. OKX Europe listed euro transfers, trading, staking and tokenized stocks under European regulatory frameworks.
Binance France will close customer accounts on Dec. 31, 2026, after ending its activities in France. Deposits to the accounts have already been suspended.
Customers can withdraw their crypto before the closure date or close their accounts earlier. Assets remaining after Dec. 31 may be converted, transferred or otherwise handled under Binance’s Terms of Service.
A monthly management fee will apply from Nov. 29 to accounts that still hold assets. The charge will equal 0.025% of the account balance, with a minimum of 10 USDC.
Binance will first deduct the fee from available USDC. If the account does not contain enough USDC, the company may deduct the amount from other crypto assets. When the total balance is below the fee, the charge will be limited to the remaining balance.
The notice specifies an initial fee withdrawal within three days of the Nov. 29 calculation date and another withdrawal after Dec. 24. Customers who remove all their crypto before Nov. 29 will not be charged. Customers can close their accounts at any time.
Separately, OKX Europe listed services available under applicable European regulatory frameworks. They include euro on- and off-ramps, spot trading, crypto and equity perpetual contracts, tokenized stocks, staking, OKX Pay and OKX Card.
The company identified frameworks covering crypto-asset markets, investment services and payment institutions, including MiCA and MiFID. It also described a Unified Trading Account that combines spot, margin and derivatives trading.
OKX Europe Ltd. is authorized by Malta’s Financial Services Authority, according to the company’s statement. The statement included a warning that crypto assets are volatile and customers could lose their entire investment.
