AEREDIUM joins Lava sandbox to trial multi-asset settlement

AEREDIUM joined the Lava Tokenization Sandbox in July 2026 to test payment-agnostic settlement at Alba Bay, letting buyers pay by bank transfer, card, stablecoin or digital asset.

AEREDIUM joined the Lava Tokenization Sandbox in July 2026 to test payment-agnostic real estate settlement on the Alba Bay development in the Dominican Republic. The trial will let buyers use bank transfers, cards, stablecoins or other digital assets while developers receive settlement in the asset they choose.

The sandbox is a collaboration between the Lava Foundation, Bretagne Holding Limited and AEREDIUM. Bretagne Holding contributes the Alba Bay project and development expertise as a live testing environment. The Lava Foundation supplies decentralized RPC and API infrastructure to connect blockchains without a single point of failure. AEREDIUM is responsible for building and testing the payment-agnostic settlement layer.

The technical focus is on multi-chain, atomic settlement that links traditional payment rails and blockchain systems in a single transaction. Under the model being tested, incoming payments are converted through an atomic process that records settlement across multiple blockchains and banking systems in one auditable transaction. The approach is designed to remove the need for developers to maintain separate digital asset treasuries and to simplify compliance steps when accepting varied payment types.

Industry participants identify settlement as a constraint on broader institutional use of tokenized assets. Creating tokens is relatively straightforward; enabling investors to pay with familiar methods and ensuring secure, auditable settlement for developers has been harder to implement. The partners say testing on a capital-backed, master-planned development provides a real commercial environment rather than an isolated technical pilot.

Albert Dadon, founder and CEO of AEREDIUM, commented: “A buyer should be able to pay with any currency, on any rail, while the developer receives secure, auditable settlement in the asset they choose.” Yossi Abadi, chief executive of Bretagne Holding Limited, added that the trial will clarify how new technology could improve efficiency and transparency in real estate development. Nimrod Knoller, head of the Lava Foundation, observed that tokenized assets depend on the reliability of the underlying infrastructure.

The partners emphasize the sandbox is exploratory and does not include any public offering, token sale or formal tokenization structure. The work will concentrate on settlement mechanics rather than token issuance.
