a16z-linked Wallet Withdraws 25,560 ETH From Binance

A wallet tied to Andreessen Horowitz’s crypto arm withdrew 25,560 ETH (about $42.6M) from Binance, onchain tracker Lookonchain reported as ether traded near $1,670.

On June 24, onchain tracker Lookonchain reported that a wallet linked to Andreessen Horowitz’s crypto arm withdrew 25,560 ether from Binance. At current prices the transfer was worth about $42.6 million.

Lookonchain did not disclose the destination address. Analytics from Arkham show recent ETH activity associated with wallets tied to the firm, but they do not identify a precise destination or whether the funds moved into self-custody or another trading venue.

Ether was trading near $1,670 at the time of the transfer, well under its record high of $4,946. Spot ether exchange-traded funds recorded repeated outflow periods earlier in the year.

In May, onchain analytics flagged a roughly $192 million position in Hyperliquid’s HYPE token held by wallets linked to the firm. Wallet movements connected to the firm are tracked by analysts; the firm rarely confirms individual transfers.

Analysts and onchain watchers will monitor for follow-up transfers from the same cluster of wallets. Additional withdrawals from centralized exchanges or repeated inflows to specific addresses would add to the onchain record.
