Ethereum’s switch to PoS. Pros and cons
Ethereum is scheduled to switch from the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) algorithm in September 2022. The initiator of this transition was personally Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. According to him, the transition to the new algorithm will simplify and scale the mining process. Ethereum’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin has donated 1500 ETH worth about $5 million press-time in support of Ukraine.
The crypto prodigy of Russian origin has sent 750 ETH to “Unchain Ukraine” and another 750 ETH to “Ukraine’s Crypto Fund”. The former is a charity organization helping those Ukrainians who suffered from Russian aggression while the latter supports the Ukrainian army and cyber resistance.
