XRP Rebounds as Ripple Payments, RLUSD and Devs Boost Use

XRP rose to about $1.18 on June 14 as Ripple’s payments expansion, RLUSD and higher developer activity increased on-ledger use for payments, tokenization, liquidity and settlement.

XRP rose to about $1.18 on June 14, recovering from an intraday low near $1.13. At 8:24 p.m. ET, the token traded near $1.18, renewing market focus on on-chain activity tied to payments, tokenization, liquidity provision and settlement.

Alexis Sirkia, chairman of Yellow Network, which builds infrastructure for decentralized trading and liquidity, said the price rebound has not changed broader trends on the XRP Ledger. He pointed to continued growth in payments, tokenization, liquidity provision and settlement as measures of network use.

Sirkia identified faster transaction speeds, lower costs and deeper market liquidity as factors companies consider when choosing a blockchain payment system. He noted developers and firms are building applications on the ledger that expand options for businesses needing digital payments and settlement services.

The launch of RLUSD was cited by Sirkia as one development that has strengthened the ledger’s role in payments and settlement. He described institutional integrations and developer activity as metrics market participants watch when assessing XRP’s prospects.

Sirkia also highlighted demand for settlement that appears separate from trading-driven price moves. “The market often focuses heavily on price, but long-term value comes from real adoption and usage,” he added.

Ripple has promoted its technology for cross-border payments and settlement since the company’s founding. The XRP Ledger supports on-ledger tokenization and liquidity features, and firms such as Yellow Network build tools that connect trading infrastructure to those ledger functions.

Investors and observers are tracking both short-term price swings and measures of network use, including transaction volumes, new application launches and institutional integrations, as they evaluate XRP’s market position.
