Trump meets top TRUMP token holders at Mar-a-Lago
President Trump spoke about an hour Saturday at Mar-a-Lago to top holders of his TRUMP token, addressing Iran, crypto policy, China and Joe Biden before flying to Washington.
President Trump spent nearly an hour Saturday at Mar-a-Lago addressing top holders of his TRUMP token. The invitation-only conference admitted the top few hundred token holders, with the top 29 granted a separate VIP meeting with the president. Attendees included crypto investors, tech executives, hedge fund managers and prominent Trump supporters; several guests described the audience as largely foreign, with many arriving from Asia.
Trump held a brief private session with the largest token holders before delivering roughly 45 minutes of off-the-cuff remarks to the full gathering. He discussed the U.S. approach to the war with Iran, crypto regulation, relations with China and former president Joe Biden. At the event he quipped that “Iran doesn’t know who their leader is anymore” and mocked Biden as “the worst thing to ever happen to old people.” After leaving Mar-a-Lago, on the tarmac he framed his attendance as supporting American industry, saying, “I really feel I have an obligation as a president, I have to be able to make sure all of our industries do well,” and calling crypto “a big industry” that has become mainstream.
The TRUMP token has traded with high volatility since its January 2025 launch. Announcement of the Mar-a-Lago event briefly pushed the price from about $2.93 to $4.37, before it fell back to roughly $2.51 at the last reported price. The token remains down more than 96% from its early 2025 highs.
Access to Saturday’s event required far smaller holdings than last year’s inaugural dinner. Multiple attendees said some qualified after buying roughly $3,000 worth of the token, a contrast with the previous event where several guests paid millions to seek private time with the president. Last year’s gathering at the golf club in Virginia produced a short speech and limited one-on-one engagement, and some attendees adjusted expectations for pricing and format this year.
Bill Zanker, a long-time Trump associate involved in the family’s branded ventures, attended the conference and introduced a “Trump Club” for top token holders promising invitation-only suites at major sporting events, private dinners and other experiences. Other speakers included motivational coach Tony Robbins, who urged the audience to adopt AI tools or prepare for more manual work, and former boxer Mike Tyson. Attendees mingled at a poolside reception after the day’s sessions. One guest attempting to livestream the president’s remarks said a Secret Service agent stopped the stream.
Notable absences and legal matters were visible around the event. Justin Sun, often identified as a top token holder, did not attend; he recently filed a lawsuit against the Trump family’s crypto platform, World Liberty Financial, alleging misconduct, while World Liberty has accused Sun of wrongdoing. The Securities and Exchange Commission, chaired by Trump appointee Paul Atkins, moved last month to settle Sun’s long-running fraud case; the agency’s head of enforcement resigned after the decision.
After finishing his remarks, Trump departed for Palm Beach International Airport and flew back to Washington for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner later that evening.
