TON Tech launches agentic wallet standard for Telegram AI

TON Tech launched Agentic Wallets on April 28, 2026, an open non-custodial standard that gives Telegram AI agents dedicated on-chain wallets funded and controlled by users. The wallets allow agents to spend TON within preset limits without asking for approval on every transaction.
Each agent receives its own on-chain account that a user funds and configures. Users set the balance and permissions for each agent wallet and can revoke access at any time. No third party holds custody of the funds at any point.
Setup is handled inside Telegram. A user asks an agent to create a wallet, funds that wallet and confirms the permissions once. After that one-time confirmation, the agent can execute routine transactions within the assigned scope. Transactions are posted on-chain and the standard is compatible with existing TON wallets without requiring wallet upgrades.
TON Tech described the standard as open-source and built without vendor lock-in. The release includes MCP and CLI tools and is compatible with common AI models and agent frameworks so developers can implement and manage agent accounts independently.
Potential uses include trading bots that operate within fixed budgets, DeFi agents that perform staking and portfolio adjustments, and automated payment flows such as recurring subscriptions or API fees. The design keeps each agent’s balance isolated, allowing users to run multiple agents simultaneously with separate spending limits.
Telegram’s bot infrastructure and bot-to-bot communication serve as the distribution channel for agents and their wallets inside the app, which has more than one billion users. Agents can both converse with users and complete transactions directly in chat.
Andrew Grekov, Head of TON Tech, described the capability: “Agents on Telegram can transact, making payments and interacting with on-chain services on behalf of users without ever touching their keys.”
TON Tech developed Agentic Wallets as part of The Open Platform, its effort to build Web3 infrastructure inside Telegram. The company said the standard addresses a limitation that previously kept agents to advisory roles by providing a way to act financially without sharing main keys or requiring step-by-step user confirmation.
