Teamz Summit 2026 in Tokyo drew 10,000+ attendees from 50 countries April 7-8 and featured Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama and global Web3 and finance leaders.

Teamz Summit 2026 took place April 7-8 at Happo-en, a historic garden venue in central Tokyo, drawing more than 10,000 attendees from over 50 countries and featuring more than 130 speakers. The two-day program focused on topics including tokenization, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), private stablecoins and the convergence of traditional finance and crypto markets.

The summit was part of Tokyo Web3/AI Week (April 4-10). Organizers reported over 100 sponsors and exhibitors, more than 100 side events and attendance by over 100 venture and investor groups. Simultaneous interpretation in English and Japanese was provided for international participants.

Speakers included founders, protocol teams, venture investors and government officials. Keynotes and sessions featured Charles Hoskinson of Input Output, Justin Sun of TRON, Yat Siu of Animoca Brands, Takafumi Horie and Frederik Gregaard of the Cardano Foundation. Panels on infrastructure included representatives from the Ethereum Foundation, Aptos Labs, the Litecoin Foundation and Midnight. Firms such as Circle, Animoca Brands and Wave Digital Assets took part in the agenda.

A session titled TradFi Meets the Future of Finance brought together executives from BlackRock Japan, SMBC, Flow Traders and Webull Securities Japan to discuss interaction between institutional finance and digital-asset markets. Separate panels on CBDCs and private stablecoins included participation from Japan’s Ministry of Finance, the CEOs of JPYC and Progmat and a partner from Deloitte Tohmatsu. On tokenized real-world assets, Dr. Andrea Perin, deputy chief representative of Banca d’Italia, joined industry executives to examine tokenization of debt, real estate and commodities.

Government participation included a keynote by Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama on Web3 and AI in Japan’s future society. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Affairs Hideto Kawasaki and Takuya Hirai, manager of digital society promotion for the LDP, spoke on national digital strategy. Yuichiro Tamaki, leader of the National Democratic Party, delivered a keynote on positioning Japan as a digital asset nation and the contribution of Web3 to economic growth.

Organizers used the venue’s gardens and seasonal cherry blossoms to align with the summit theme, Tradition Meets Tomorrow. Exhibitors occupied multiple levels of Happo-en and representatives from more than 50 countries attended. Organizers and participants described the event as a forum for firms, investors and policymakers to meet and discuss regulatory, technical and commercial developments in Web3 and digital finance.
