Ramp launches multichain self-custodial wallet for in-app crypto

Ramp Network launched a multichain self-custodial wallet on Friday that lets users buy, swap and cash out crypto inside a single app using Ramp’s on-ramps, off-ramps and cross-chain infrastructure. The wallet is available globally except in the European Union.
At launch the product supports Ether across eight networks: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Linea, MegaETH, Optimism, Polygon zkEVM and zkSync Era. Ramp plans to add support for Bitcoin, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Apechain, Avalanche, Celo and Gnosis.
Assets remain under user control in a self-custodial setup secured with passkeys and an optional key export feature. Ramp uses USDC on Base as a core balance for transfers, in-app payments and other activity, enabling internal settlement without routing every transaction through external rails.
Ramp is listed as a Crypto Asset Service Provider under the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets framework since December 2025, but additional regulatory approvals are required before the wallet can be offered in the bloc, Ramp noted. The company expects to complete those steps in the coming months.
The firm previously provided on-ramp infrastructure inside partner apps, including MetaMask and Trust Wallet, and reports its systems have served more than 10 million users.
Przemek Kowalczyk, co-founder and CEO of Ramp Network, described the aim as reducing handoffs between services rather than becoming a new intermediary: ‘By bringing these flows into a single system, we reduce those handoffs and make the experience more consistent and predictable.’
