Morgan Stanley Bitcoin ETF Tops WisdomTree in Six Days

Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust drew $103 million in net inflows in six trading days, surpassing WisdomTree’s $86 million, Farside Investors data shows.

Farside Investors data shows Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) reached $103 million in net inflows after six trading days, adding $19.3 million on Wednesday to pass WisdomTree’s $86 million total.

MSBT launched on April 8 with a 0.14% fee, one basis point lower than the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF. The product is the 12th U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF to begin trading.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust remains the market leader with about $64.3 billion in net inflows, and Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund has accumulated about $10.9 billion. Other issuers in the group include Bitwise, ARK 21Shares and Grayscale.

Several smaller spot products have lower totals: Franklin’s Bitcoin ETF has $375 million, Valkyrie’s has $326 million and Invesco Galaxy’s has $245 million. MSBT’s $103 million total remains below those mid-tier funds.

On Tuesday, Goldman Sachs filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a Bitcoin-linked ETF.

Industry data shows the average lifespan of ETFs fell from about 4.66 years in 2024 to roughly 3.5 years in 2025. More than 40 ETFs were liquidated in the first two months of 2026; those liquidated products had an average lifespan of about 21 months, roughly half the lifespan of ETFs closed in 2025.

ETF analyst James Seyffart forecast that many crypto exchange-traded products could be liquidated by the end of 2027. At the time of his comment, more than 126 ETP applications were pending at the SEC.
