Moonpay Acquires Dawn Labs, Launches Dawn CLI

Moonpay acquired Dawn Labs on May 11, 2026 and launched Dawn CLI, an AI tool that converts plain-English strategies into autonomous trades on prediction markets such as Polymarket and Kalshi.

Moonpay announced on May 11, 2026 that it acquired Dawn Labs and released Dawn CLI, an artificial intelligence tool that converts plain-English trading strategies into executable trades on supported prediction market venues including Polymarket and Kalshi. Moonpay said Dawn CLI is live in crypto markets where prediction trading is active.

The acquisition brings the full Dawn Labs team into Moonpay. Neeraj Prasad, founder of Dawn Labs, will join Moonpay Labs as Chief Engineer. Moonpay reported that the integration adds Dawn’s engineering and research capacity to its product group.

Dawn CLI is built to automate the trading lifecycle for prediction markets. Users type a strategy in plain English. The platform then surfaces related data and market signals, generates trading code from the strategy, stress-tests that code automatically, and executes trades continuously according to the user’s instructions. Moonpay described the process as covering strategy development, research, simulation and execution without requiring users to write code.

Prediction markets draw users who use social signals, automated systems and positions across platforms. Moonpay said those markets have had fragmented infrastructure and that Dawn CLI is designed to combine research, software development and execution in a single system.

Dawn Labs was founded in 2025. Prasad is an MIT computer science and engineering graduate who worked on machine learning research in university neuroscience labs. Before founding Dawn Labs he held engineering roles at Waymo, Microsoft, Citadel and Reservoir Labs, where he worked on perception systems, machine learning infrastructure, quantitative trading and deep learning compilers.

Moonpay has been expanding its AI-related financial tools over the past year. The company previously introduced Moonpay CLI and Moonpay Agents with Ledger-secured signing, plus the Moon Agents Card, a virtual Mastercard that allows spending stablecoins from on-chain balances. Moonpay also launched an Open Wallet Standard intended to extend agent and wallet interoperability across frameworks and chains. The company said it serves about 30 million customers in 180 countries.

Ivan Soto-Wright, Moonpay’s CEO and founder, stated that the Dawn team had “made the most complex parts of active trading accessible to anyone with an idea.” Neeraj Prasad, now chief engineer at Moonpay Labs, added that Dawn was built to reduce the need for expertise across research, software and portfolio management: “Competing effectively has required expertise across multiple disciplines at once. Dawn brings those capabilities into a single autonomous system.”
