MAGNE.AI raises $2.64M to advance edge AI and agent payments
MAGNE.AI secured $2.64M from GAEA Ventures, Titans Ventures and Go2Mars Labs to speed MAGNE AI BOX engineering, integrate MAGNE L1 with MHash L2 and develop MAGNE Agent Pay.
MAGNE.AI announced an additional $2.64 million strategic financing on August 5, 2026, from Road Town in the British Virgin Islands. The round included participation from GAEA Ventures, Titans Ventures and Go2Mars Labs and follows a previously disclosed $10 million financing, bringing publicly disclosed funding to $12.64 million.
The company said the funds will accelerate engineering validation and commercial delivery of its MAGNE AI BOX, deepen integration between MAGNE L1 and MHash L2, and continue development of MAGNE Agent Pay, a payment layer intended for autonomous agents.
MAGNE AI BOX is described as a private edge computing device for on-device large-language-model inference, private retrieval-augmented generation, multimodal data processing and local AI-agent execution. MAGNE L1 is presented as a device identity and authorization layer that records identity, ownership and permissions on-chain. MHash L2 is intended to handle frequent, low-cost interactions such as service coordination and micropayments. MAGNE Agent Pay is under development to enable programmable, x402-compatible payments for agent-to-agent and machine-to-machine transactions.
The company outlined that the combined stack will let devices and software agents verify identity, request external services, execute tasks and settle payments with verifiable on-chain records. Developers and enterprises using MAGNE AI BOX can keep sensitive data and knowledge bases local to reduce reliance on external cloud providers and shorten response times for time-sensitive tasks.
Security measures noted by MAGNE.AI include hardware-protected identity credentials, secure storage and cryptographic signing, trusted device authorization, and local processing of private data with verifiable service access. The company’s Web3-native smartphones are described as secure personal endpoints, while the layered blockchain architecture provides identity and settlement capabilities.
After the financing, development priorities include completing engineering validation of MAGNE AI BOX, advancing production readiness and initial commercial deliveries, optimizing local inference and multimodal processing, integrating AI BOX identities with MAGNE L1, connecting agent activity and settlement with MHash L2, and developing MAGNE Agent Pay with x402-compatible transactions. The company plans to expand its developer and device ecosystem through partnerships.
GAEA Ventures, Titans Ventures and Go2Mars Labs are identified as strategic backers. Titans Ventures previously announced a partnership with MAGNE.AI focused on Web3 mobile infrastructure and hardware security. GAEA Ventures and Go2Mars Labs publicly confirmed their participation in the add-on round.
