Kambi to Auto-Price Entire 2026 World Cup After AI Hits 60%
Kambi will auto-price and risk-manage the 2026 World Cup after its AI handled 60% of bets across the network in Q1 2026.
Kambi reported Q1 2026 revenue of €43.5 million, a 4.9% increase year on year, and EBITDA of €5.7 million, up 63.5% from Q1 2025. Operating profit for the quarter was €4.2 million. CEO Werner Becher described the quarter as a return to growth following substantial customer migrations in 2025.
Becher confirmed the company’s AI trading system will set prices and manage risk for every match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The firm reported that automated systems handled 60% of bets across its global network in Q1 2026, after surpassing 50% in January and rising from about 49% in 2025.
Football reached full AI coverage earlier in 2026. Rollouts are expanding to tennis, basketball and ice hockey as Kambi extends its trading engine across additional sports.
The French horse racing monopoly PMU launched on Kambi several weeks ago and was described as “performing very well.” Two Canadian clients, Atlantic Lottery and British Columbia Lottery, selected Kambi as their sportsbook supplier this week, taking the company live in seven of Canada’s ten provinces.
Kambi said increased automation supported improved margins and faster trading operations during the quarter. The company characterized Q1 results as evidence that it has returned to growth after the prior year’s customer transitions.
On prediction markets, Becher said platforms active in regulated U.S. states have shown “no material impact” on Kambi’s business. He noted regulators and industry groups have increased scrutiny of unregulated event contracts, and Kambi has previously warned that entering prediction markets could put its licensing at risk in some U.S. jurisdictions.
Kambi is a regulated B2B sportsbook supplier that provides pricing, trading and risk management to operators worldwide. Its AI trading system automates pricing and risk decisions across the network; the company says the 2026 World Cup will be the first major global tournament to be fully automated in those functions.
