Grayscale Files S-1 to List First U.S. Worldcoin ETF

Grayscale filed an S-1 to register the first U.S. exchange-traded fund tied to Worldcoin’s WLD token, proposing to list the fund on Nasdaq under the ticker GWLD.
Grayscale filed an S-1 registration statement on Monday to launch the first U.S. exchange-traded fund tied to Worldcoin’s WLD token. The firm intends to list the fund on Nasdaq under the symbol GWLD.
The preliminary prospectus names BitGo Bank & Trust as custodian for WLD. BNY Mellon is listed as administrator and transfer agent, and CSC Delaware Trust Company is listed as trustee. The filing does not disclose management fees, seed capital, authorized participants or liquidity providers.
WLD is an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain and is the native token of World, a project that uses biometric verification to distinguish humans from bots. World was co-founded by Sam Altman. An ETF based on WLD would give investors price exposure to the token without requiring them to hold the asset directly on exchanges or in private wallets.
If approved and launched, the proposed Worldcoin ETF would join 17 crypto exchange-traded products already offered by Grayscale, which track assets including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin and Chainlink.
The S-1 is an initial regulatory filing and does not guarantee approval or that the fund will launch. The document sets out the fund’s governance structure and service providers but leaves commercial terms and distribution mechanics to later filings. Investors and market participants will look for subsequent disclosures that specify fees, operational partners, redemption procedures, custody safeguards and regulatory compliance.
