Fidelity International launches Moody’s AAA-mf tokenized USD fund
Fidelity International launched the Fidelity USD Digital Liquidity Fund (FILQ), a Moody’s AAA‑mf assessed tokenized USD fund issued via Sygnum, with Chainlink publishing on‑chain NAV and distribution data.
Fidelity International has launched the Fidelity USD Digital Liquidity Fund (FILQ), a tokenized U.S. dollar liquidity fund issued through Sygnum Bank’s tokenization platform. Moody’s Ratings assigned the fund an AAA‑mf assessment, a designation used for money market funds to indicate strong credit quality and liquidity.
Chainlink will publish verifiable, real‑time net asset value (NAV) and distribution data for FILQ on‑chain. JPMorgan will supply the approved daily NAV data that Chainlink will publish, enabling investors to view the fund’s valuation and payouts on public ledgers.
Fidelity described FILQ as a product to extend traditional short‑term cash management into tokenized markets and to provide yield‑bearing liquidity on‑chain within a regulated framework. The fund’s structure combines money market features — credit assessment, daily NAV approval and regulated custody — with blockchain features such as automated distribution and public, auditable price feeds.
Fatmire Bekiri, Sygnum’s head of tokenization, called the launch “an important milestone in the evolution of capital markets” and added tokenized liquidity products can “bring high‑quality, yield‑bearing liquidity on‑chain in a regulated and scalable way.” Fernando Vazquez, president of capital markets at Chainlink Labs, stated that adopting Chainlink’s platform delivers tamper‑proof transparency to bridge traditional finance with on‑chain markets.
Chainlink previously worked with Sygnum and Fidelity International in 2024 to provide on‑chain NAV data for Fidelity’s Institutional Liquidity Fund. FILQ joins a growing number of tokenized money market products from large asset managers that use blockchain networks to enable access and settlement via token standards.
Other asset managers have introduced tokenized short‑term yield funds, and JPMorgan has filed to launch a tokenized money market fund on Ethereum. Regulators and market participants are monitoring tokenized real‑world assets as firms expand on‑chain offerings while aiming to maintain regulatory compliance and investor protections.
Moody’s AAA‑mf assessment is the formal rating attached to FILQ and is the same category used for assessing traditional money market funds.
