FanDuel CEO Amy Howe exits; Genetski to lead U.S.

Amy Howe left FanDuel on May 6 with $4.37M in severance. Christian Genetski will take over leadership of FanDuel’s U.S. business while keeping his corporate responsibilities.

Amy Howe departed FanDuel on May 6 under a separation agreement that provides $4,370,828 in severance. The package equals 24 months of her $1.03 million base salary plus bonus opportunity, and includes pro-rated, fully vested equity awards, time-pro-rated vesting of a 2021 Value Creation Award and up to 12 months of company-paid health insurance. Flutter and Howe agreed to the departure on April 30; the separation agreement was signed May 5 and her employment terminated May 6, according to a company filing.

Christian Genetski, who has been FanDuel president since 2015, will assume day-to-day leadership of the U.S. business while retaining responsibilities for corporate strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, legal, regulatory and government affairs. Flutter also created a new group-level role, naming Dan Taylor president of Flutter Entertainment while he continues as CEO of Flutter International. Taylor will oversee FanDuel alongside international brands including Paddy Power, Betfair, Sportsbet, PokerStars and Sisal.

The leadership changes were announced with Flutter’s Q1 2026 results. Group revenue rose 17% year over year to $4.3 billion. U.S. revenue increased 6% to $1.76 billion and U.S. sportsbook revenue grew 1%. Flutter lowered its full-year 2026 EBITDA guidance from $2.97 billion to $2.87 billion.

Peter Jackson, Flutter’s CEO, described FanDuel’s recent performance as underperforming and said the company needed a different leadership team, stating: ‘It’s no secret that FanDuel has underperformed, but looking forward, we’ve got to get the right team in place to support the business.’ A company statement added: ‘With significant growth potential ahead, we have decided this is the right moment for new leadership at FanDuel.’

Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel’s president of sports, left the company recently. Flutter’s share price has fallen about 57% over the past year. Management is reviewing whether to delist from the London Stock Exchange and consolidate around its New York listing, a topic discussed on the earnings call.

Howe joined FanDuel in February 2021 from Ticketmaster, where she was president and chief operating officer. During her tenure FanDuel reached a 39% share of U.S. sportsbook gross gaming revenue and a 27% share in iGaming, recorded its first profitable quarter and reached a peak valuation near $31 billion.
