EBC11 in Barcelona just days away: what to expect

The 11th European Blockchain Convention opens in Barcelona this week. Over 6,000 crypto professionals, institutional investors, and industry leaders will gather for two days of talks, deals, and networking.
Europe's largest blockchain gathering is just a few days away. The European Blockchain Convention returns to Barcelona on October 16–17, bringing together the crypto industry's most influential voices under one roof.
Over 6,000 participants are expected at the two-day event, which has expanded significantly for its 11th edition. Organizers added a third stage to accommodate demand, while the exhibition area grew to 3,000 square meters.
Top crypto and finance leaders will speak at EBC11, including Philipp Bohrn (Bitpanda), David Walsh (Ethereum Foundation), Matthew Hougan (Bitwise), and Stani Kulechov (Aave).
Banking heavyweights haven't been left out. Representatives from J.P. Morgan, BNP Paribas, Banco Santander, and BBVA will discuss how traditional finance is adapting to digital assets.
This year's program tackles the topics dominating industry conversations: institutional crypto adoption, regulatory frameworks under MiCA, DeFi innovation, and the explosion of crypto ETFs. Around 70 panel discussions are scheduled across three stages. Topics range from enterprise blockchain to next-generation protocols.
Networking is a major focus at EBC11, with an AI-powered app for scheduling one-on-one meetings and dedicated spaces for private conversations designed to facilitate dealmaking.
Startups get their moment too. The Startup Battle competition offers a €100,000 prize pool, with founders pitching to a jury of industry veterans and potential investors. Dedicated mentoring sessions connect emerging projects with experienced operators.
Side events add another dimension. An opening night party on October 15 kicks things off, while curated gatherings throughout the two days create opportunities for deeper engagement. The organizers promise "fewer but higher-quality" side events focused on meaningful connections rather than volume.
For media professionals, a dedicated press room provides direct access to speakers between sessions. The setup enables quick interviews and exclusive insights that don't make it to the main stage.
Tickets remain available across several tiers, from general passes starting at €610 to Tiger Passes at €4,800 that include priority meeting scheduling and access to the full attendee list.
GNcrypto readers get exclusive access: attendees can apply promo code K6qcNKiu at checkout for a 15% discount on tickets.
More details about the event, speakers, and agenda are available in our full preview of EBC11.
