Chainlink, Anchorage-backed PAC Endorses 10 for 2026

Blockchain Leadership Fund endorsed four Senate and six House candidates for the 2026 U.S. midterms, with initial funding of $175,000 from Anchorage Digital and Chainlink Labs.

The Blockchain Leadership Fund, a political action committee launched by Chainlink Labs and Anchorage Digital in March, announced endorsements for ten candidates in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections: four for the Senate and six for the House. The committee is registered as a hybrid PAC that can make direct contributions to campaigns and run independent expenditures and indicated it will support candidates who back “responsible digital asset policy.”

Endorsed Republicans for Senate are Barry Moore of Alabama, Kurt Alme of Montana and Jon Husted of Ohio. Republican House endorsements include Houston Gaines (Georgia’s 10th district), Jim Kingston (Georgia’s 1st district) and Jon Bonck (Texas’ 38th district). On the Democratic side, the PAC backed Angie Craig for U.S. Senate in Minnesota and Adrian Boafo (Maryland), Christian Menefee (Texas) and Don Davis (North Carolina) for House seats.

Federal Election Commission filings show the committee had raised $175,000 as of Thursday, including $100,000 from Anchorage Digital and $75,000 from Chainlink Labs. The fund said it may add further endorsements before the November 2026 elections.

Several of the endorsed candidates have already benefited from outside political spending. Jim Kingston and Houston Gaines won Republican primaries in Georgia on Tuesday, and Barry Moore will face a runoff in Alabama. Defend American Jobs, a committee affiliated with Fairshake, spent about $8.5 million on media supporting Kingston, Gaines and Moore and roughly $350,000 on media supporting Jon Bonck. Protect Progress, another Fairshake-linked committee, spent more than $4.1 million to support Christian Menefee in a Texas runoff and over $2 million to back Adrian Boafo in Maryland.

Separately, the Fellowship PAC, a committee funded by Cantor Fitzgerald and Anchorage Digital, disclosed a $500,000 expenditure to support Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his U.S. Senate bid. Former President Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Paxton; the eventual Republican nominee will face Democrat James Talarico, who won the March Democratic primary in Texas.

According to an Anchorage Digital spokesperson, “We believe constructive bipartisan participation is critical to ensuring the U.S. remains a global leader in financial technology and the future of finance. We remain committed to supporting responsible innovation and constructive policymaking that brings digital assets further into the regulatory perimeter and strengthens trust in the ecosystem.”

The committee reported its early funding total and said it will continue to evaluate potential endorsements and expenditures as the 2026 midterms approach.
