Broadridge launches Canadian digital-asset platform

Broadridge launched a platform for Canadian wealth managers that integrates trading, custody and asset servicing for crypto and tokenized equities, funds and alternatives.

Broadridge Financial Solutions announced a digital-asset platform for Canadian wealth managers on Monday. The offering integrates trading, custody and asset servicing so firms can offer cryptocurrencies and tokenized equities, funds and alternative investments within existing workflows.

The platform supports both advisor-led and self-directed client models. It connects to custodians, exchanges and asset managers to facilitate execution and settlement without requiring firms to switch between separate systems. Integrated wallets and institutional custody options are available inside the environment.

Capabilities cover trading, custody and asset servicing for crypto and tokenized instruments, with interoperability across multiple custodians and connectivity to exchanges. The platform supports tokenized equities, tokenized funds and tokenized alternative investments.

Broadridge included disclosure and governance tools designed to help firms meet regulatory and compliance obligations for digital-asset activities. The company described the platform as a way for wealth managers to add digital assets while preserving existing operational and compliance workflows.

Broadridge partnered with Galaxy Digital for wallet infrastructure and uses a multi-custody model that involves Anchorage Digital, with provisions for additional custodial interoperability. Broadridge reported that its systems support the tokenization of more than $8 trillion in assets per month.

The launch follows product development across financial services aimed at institutional and wealth clients. Recent initiatives include business banking platforms that handle fiat and crypto payments, stablecoin issuance, concierge services for institutional onboarding and custody, and dedicated custody and trading units at large banks and asset managers. A recent industry report projected that investor portfolios will include more digital and tokenized assets over the coming decade and that platform providers will expand tools to support a broader range of asset types.
